A Harwood automatic, silver, gents wristwatch, import marks for Glasgow 1929, the silvered dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, outer minute track and blued hands, signed Harwood, in a cushion-shaped case, on a later brown leather strap. John Harwood is credited for inventing the first automatically wound watch mechanism which was patented in 1924. The watch has no crown, instead the time is adjusted by rotating the bezel forwards, 30mm
