A gents Mappin Campaign shock absorber, 9ct gold cased wristwatch hallmarked 1962. With Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial on a dark leather strap. Together with a Mappin & Webb box. Case number 280xxx. These later Mappin Campaign are named in homage to the watches of the same name produced for British soldiers in the 19th century, namely the Boer War
