A large Burmese alabaster sculpture of Buddha Shakyamuni, 18th/19th century, in dhyana asana pose, wearing a painted and gilded monastic robe, his left hand in bhumisparsha mudra (touching earth), seated on a painted padmasana base (lotus) applied with yellow and green glass, 53 cm high x 33 cm wide
Condition report: loss of gilding and paint, some losses to the headpiece, losses to the base (glass mainly), wear commensurate with age, a few nicks to the alabaster
