Hermes-A 1960's Philip Ledoux 'Napoleon' silk scarf depicting four medallions of Napoleon in the corners of the scarf, framed by laurel wreaths. The upper right corner of the scarf is Napoleon on one of his Arabian horses based on the painting by Jean-Antoine Gros. The bottom right of the scarf is an image of Napoleon at The Battle at Wagram by Émile Jean-Horace and the bottom left is an image of Napoleon at Ratisbonne by Pierre Gautherot (1769-1825) whilst the upper left shows Napoleon crossing the Alps by Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825). The scarf is in a navy, red gold and cream colour-way with images of bees in gold and imprinted in cream with hand rolled edges. Approximately 90cm x 90cm.
Condition: A faint yellow stain to the left of the large Napoleon hat and a few faint stains in 2 other areas-see additional photos
